We survive the collapse
1. The End of Capitalism
Young people who aren’t thinking much about the future aside, those who can anticipate the next ten years tend to be pessimistic about what lies ahead, because they see no bright prospects. To begin with, capitalism is likely to collapse before long (as of 2025). The accumulated debt around the world has reached astronomical levels, and it will become impossible to sustain the interest payments. As a result, the global economy will suffer a shock on a scale humanity has never experienced.
The global environment is also nearing its end. In North America, groundwater is being depleted, and agriculture will soon become impossible. Key fertilizer components such as phosphorus and potassium are expected to run out within a few decades. Over the past 50 years, humanity has already reduced the populations of insects, fish, birds, and animals by half; as nature collapses, it will be impossible for humans alone to survive.
It is now no longer possible to save this civilization, which is already in the process of collapsing. What young people who feel pessimistic about the future can do is to somehow survive the collapse and, with those who remain, build a new civilization. So what can be done now to prepare for that? For people to unite and help one another, a shared set of principles is necessary. What we must do now is to create such shared principles. And those principles must be grounded in a clear understanding of where, how, and why this civilization went wrong—preserving what should be preserved and discarding what should be discarded. If that can be achieved, humanity will not need to start over again from the Stone Age.
2. Surviving the Collapse of Civilization
For now, young people must first survive the collapse of this civilization. The most important thing in order to do that is how to free themselves from the mind control imposed on them. The world today is irrational no matter where you look, and that is because there is an overwhelming amount of mind control placed upon society as a whole. In reality, human beings do not need very much to live. However, in order to sell goods, capitalism must make people believe that they need things they do not actually need. As a result, capitalist society has become saturated with mind control. At this point, only a very small number of people can distinguish what is true from what is mind control. People living under capitalism tend to believe that money is the means of survival, but what humans truly need in order to live is not money—it is air, water, and food. Realizing this simple fact is the first step toward surviving the collapse of civilization.
3.Utopia
After the emergence of capitalism, political thought can broadly be divided into liberal democracy, fascism, and communism. All of these, in one way or another, focus on how to increase wealth and distribute it. In that sense, it is fair to say that money is their central theme.
Money is one of the most useful tools ever invented by humanity. However, 99.99% of people are unaware of its drawbacks. The true nature of money has been carefully concealed for centuries, and it has only begun to be widely understood in the past two decades. Money is, in essence, debt. And because it is debt, it carries interest. In order to pay that interest, the economy must continue to grow, leading to the constant production of unnecessary goods. This excess, in turn, contributes to the destruction of the planet.
It is not widely known that the first ideology to emerge in opposition to capitalism was not communism, but utopianism. However, utopianism was later rejected by the rise of communism and, as a result, failed to develop further as a major ideology and was largely forgotten. The central theme of utopianism is love. It begins by asking what happiness means for human beings, and then seeks to build a society based on that understanding.
